Because I Smiled At Them....

BISMILLAH HIR RAHMAN NIR RAHEEM

What it feels to blog after a long time only one can understand who has been through it. When you really want to blog but just dont know what to write. Sometimes you just sit with your laptop with new post page open in front of you and staring at it blankly. Sometimes there were so many things but just couldn't decide what to write first. After a long sunshine weather when life takes you for a short while to a rough weather and everything feels chaotic around you I have realized just smile back.

An overpowering story compelled me to write today. I woke up in the middle of night yesterday and was later sleepless. I decided to read some moral islamic stories and googled for it on my mobile phone. Then I came across one story which changed my perspective to certain things. No matter what life does always smile back at everything.

I would like to share this story here.....

BECAUSE I SMILED AT THEM

The Sultan of Arabia had grown very fond of Mulla Nasruddin and often took him along on his travels. Once, while on a journey, the Royal caravan approached a small nondescript town in the desert.

On a whim the Sultan said to the Mulla, " I wonder if people would know me in this small place. Let us stop my entourage here and enter the town on foot and then we'll know if they can recognize me."

Accordingly, they dismounted and walked down the main road of the town. The Sultan was surprised to see that many people smiled at Nasruddin but ignored him completely.

Irritated and a trifle angry, he said, "I see that the people here know you but they don't know me!"

"They don't know me either your excellency", replied the Mulla.

"Then why did they smile at you only?" questioned the Sultan.

"Because I smiled at them." said Nasruddin smiling.

Reflection, courtesy and respect are mutually reinforcing.

If some doesn't greet we should greet them. You are not going to lose anything.

Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: " If you have nothing to give, give a kind word or even just an affectionate smile."

" You cannot treat people by means of your wealth, hence, you should treat them by means of your moral conduct."

---- A lovely story isn't it?
